BlueTech research awards Cambi with the BlueTruffle Award for the best go-to-market strategy

Asker, 27 August 2015

Cambi is awarded the “BlueTruffle Award” (Best Go-To-Market Strategy) by BlueTech Research - for Cambi’s continuous march forward in the area of thermal hydrolysis. The market intelligence research group gives the award based on the rate of technology adoption and diffusion into the market seen for CambiTHP.

The Blue Truffle Award was presented during WERF’s LIFT forum on Intensification of Resource Recovery (IR2) held at Manhattan College, New York, August 2015. Paul Christy, Managing Director of Cambi Inc., received the award on behalf of Cambi. The prestigious award was chosen by all of the participants of the forum. The WERF LIFT program brings together the best scientific minds and industry specialists to accelerate innovative technologies.

Paul O’Callaghan, CEO of BlueTech Research, states that the technology S-curve for CambiTHP™ tells its own story. There is a growing recognition of the potential value of the energy and valuable resources held by wastewater. As part of a more sustainable wastewater treatment process, Cambi’s technology enables plants to generate more biogas and recover and recycle nutrients, such as phosphorus.

Atila Mellilo, CEO of Cambi, welcomes the award: “This comes at a time when great cities view as a priority to develop smart strategies for dealing with sludge and organic waste. In the last 5 years, the number of plants committed to the CambiTHP® process has grown from 19 sites in 8 countries to 51 sites in 19 countries”.

Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) and the Water Environment Federation (WEF) are the founders of the Leaders Innovation Forum for Technology (LIFT), a joint initiative to generate innovation and help move new technology rapidly into practice. The initiative is focused on the water, wastewater, and stormwater industries.

BlueTech Research is an international provider of water technology market intelligence.

Cambi is the leading provider of technologies for converting biodegradable material to renewable energy, bio-fertilizer resources, and biofuel. This based on Cambi’s patented thermal hydrolysis process (CambiTHP™).
