Country: Norway
Client: Municipality of Oslo
Solution: CambiTHP - B12
After fierce international competition, Cambi won the contract to deliver a turnkey biowaste plant for the city of Oslo in 2013. This breakthrough contract was awarded by Oslo's Energy Recycling Agency, otherwise known as "Energigjenvinningsetaten" (EGE).
The plant is designed to treat 15,000 dry tonnes/yr of source-sorted waste from households combined with industrial biowaste. The waste is converted to biogas and biofertiliser. The biogas is further refined into methane and liquified for use in transport, mainly for public buses in Oslo.
