Lillehammer Nye Mjøsanlegget

Mjøsanlegget is one of the first plants to use Cambi's thermal hydrolysis process. In operation since 1999, it is a biowaste plant that receives household waste from the Mjøs region in addition to industrial food waste. Cambi's scope included a B6-2 thermal hydrolysis system, a sand removal system, a flash tank cooler, and one digester cooler for each of the two digesters.

Cambi upgraded the Nye (New) Mjøsanlegget in 2016. The old THP unit ran during the whole construction phase. This smooth transition from the old THP to the new THP system was important as it kept the digester fed and avoided the loss of biogas production.
