Nigg Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW) caters to Aberdeen city and the rest of the Grampian region in Northeastern Scotland. The facility serves a population equivalent of roughly 1.03 million with the plant designed to treat 22,000 tonnes of dry solids (DS) per year.

Cambi's thermal hydrolysis process solution was commissioned in 2001. The THP unit treats both primary and secondary sludge. After final dewatering, the biosolids are used for land application.
