Auckland - Rosedale
Cambi has signed a contract with Watercare Services Limited to supply two thermal hydrolysis process (THP) systems for the Rosedale wastewater treatment plant in Auckland, New Zealand.
Watercare is upgrading the Rosedale plant as part of a wider investment programme to support population growth, improve treatment performance, and reduce emissions.
Rosedale is Watercare’s second-largest wastewater treatment plant, and the upgrade programme will increase wastewater flows to the site.
Cambi’s thermal hydrolysis technology will help Watercare increase digestion capacity without building new digesters. The solution is also expected to support higher biogas production, improve dewatering, reduce biosolids volumes for disposal, and lower the plant’s carbon footprint and asset life-cycle costs.
Equipment delivery is currently scheduled for 2028, with operations expected to start in 2030.
