Huaifang Water Reclamation Plant
Asia's largest underground advanced wastewater treatment facility, the Huaifang Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) was built in 2016 as part of Beijing's wastewater action plan.
Huaifang is one of five Cambi projects in Beijing, joining Xiaohongmen, Gaobeidian, Gaoantun, and Qinghe II. Across the five plants, Beijing Drainage Group applies THP as the core sludge treatment technology and channels treated biosolids to land application.

THP helped optimise biogas production at Huaifang, generating 18.8 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually while producing pathogen-free biosolids.
