The first wastewater treatment facility in Poland to utilise the thermal hydrolysis process (THP) is situated in Bydgoszcz and managed by Chemwik. Commissioned in 2006 along with other essential sludge line equipment and infrastructure delivered by Cambi, the site's advanced sludge treatment plant employing THP enhanced digester capacity and enabled the site to meet a substantial portion of its electricity requirements through increased biogas production.
