The Central Regional Wastewater System (CRWS) under the Trinity River Authority in Texas is part of the utility's multi-phased biosolids management plan. In 2023, the facility was upgraded to advanced anaerobic digestion with Cambi's thermal hydrolysis process (THP) as pretreatment.
The Cambi system has led to reduced biosolids handling requirements, higher digester loading capacity and the production of Class A biosolids.
