The Kenneth W. Hotz Water Reclamation Facility in Medina, Ohio, improved its solids treatment system by utilizing new, advanced technologies to provide energy savings and other sustainable benefits. The plant features a Cambi thermal hydrolysis process system as pretreatment for anaerobic digestion.
It started running 24/7 in December [2018]. The estimated savings [are] 1.4 million dollars a year.

The unit was delivered to the project site fully assembled, which minimized time and work for installation and start-up at the site. By using Cambi's thermal hydrolysis process, Medina County's treated solids meet the highest U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) criteria for land application as Class A fertiliser.
