The Afan Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW) is located in Port Talbot, close to the city of Swansea in Wales, UK. The WwTW is operated by Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water.
After a complete technical and commercial assessment, Welsh Water chose Cambi's thermal hydrolysis process as the most economical solution that suited the site's needs. Afan caters to a population equivalent of about 400,000. The biosolids after final dewatering are used for land application.
