Cambi will deliver Morocco’s first thermal hydrolysis process (THP) plant at a new wastewater treatment facility in Safi, developed by the OCP Group, a global leader in phosphate fertilizers. The treated effluent will be reused as industrial process water, supporting OCP’s sustainability goals.
The facility will enhance biogas production, improve biosolids quality, and lower carbon emissions, showcasing THP’s potential to help water-stressed regions become more efficient and resilient.
Cambi’s system, developed in partnership with JESA Building and Infrastructure SA, is set for commissioning in 2025.
