Tuning THP: How Operating Conditions Affect Centrate Color, COD Solubilization, and Dewaterability
Join a deep dive into a new Cambi lab study showing how varying process conditions affect sludge dewaterability, COD solubilization, and centrate color formation in both raw and digested sludge.
Participants will gain insight into which THP settings appear most effective for achieving specific priorities, based on the study’s findings. The webinar will also compare full Cambi (pre-AD) and SolidStream (post-AD) configurations, highlighting the benefits and trade-offs of each approach.
This session will include study results presented at this year’s Residuals & Biosolids and Innovations in Treatment Technology Conference in Maryland, USA.
What You’ll Learn?
Based on the study results:
- The effects of varying temperatures and retention times on sludge dewaterability
- How process conditions shift COD solubilization and what that could mean for biogas production
- Observed differences in centrate color between raw and digested sludge under varying Thermal Hydrolysis Process (THP) conditions
Who Should Attend?
- Process engineers and technical staff, as well as researchers and consultants interested in THP, anaerobic digestion, and biosolids optimization
- Wastewater treatment professionals looking to improve sludge handling and treatment performance
- Utility decision-makers evaluating advanced sludge treatment technologies
