Grønn Vekst secures renewed garden waste handling contract in Bærum

Asker, 30 April 2024, 12:47 CET

Grønn Vekst, part of Cambi's Solutions segment, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a contract for managing the garden waste from the municipality of Bærum, in Norway.

Under this contract, Grønn Vekst will oversee the grinding, transportation, and composting of all garden waste collected at public recycling stations across the city. Composting garden waste reduces waste and greenhouse gas emissions and enriches the soil, benefiting the environment and people's gardens. The resulting compost will be used in producing Grønn Vekst's bulk soil products.

Bernd Anders Keller, CEO of Grønn Vekst, commented: "Grønn Vekst is grateful for the renewed trust to manage and repurpose the garden waste from the municipality of Bærum into sustainable soil products. We look forward to continuing the good collaboration with the municipality in the coming years".

The contract has a firm duration of 3 years with one extension option of one year, for a total duration of up to 4 years.

Following adherence to the standard Norwegian public procurement procedures, the contract is slated for formal signing after the mandatory waiting period (‘karenstid'), concluding on 10 May 2024. The contract execution is scheduled to commence on 1 October 2024.
