Optimisation

The ultimate goal in the design phase of a THP plant is to apply as realistic as possible conditions in the Basis of Design. This is met by implementing Cambi’s in-house experiences gained from similar projects and by ensuring quality of the data used as basis of design. However, there are always deviations from design point in operation phase which provides room for optimising the plant operation. A typical example of this is the actual sludge properties and rheology which may heavily impact the operation.

Optimisation services are basically the process of deep diving into plant operation with the aim of identifying improvement areas either by suggesting minor changes or major upgrades, depending on plant performance status and plant life-time.

Typically, the focus of optimisation is to, among others, provide peace of mind for the operators, improving plant availability and operational stability, increasing energy efficiency and hence saving operating costs.

Cambi applies Remote Monitoring as a tool to collect data and insight as to how the plant is functioning. In addition to this Cambi is in the process of launching a new online monitoring system (shall we mentioned Assurance 365 here?) to provide the client with required tool and competence for simplifying the operation and maximizing the benefit of having a Cambi THP and turbocharged digester.
